Document Indexing and OCR

Document Indexing is an important step in making documents easily retrievable and improving the accuracy of document searches. In CaptureEasy, user can index a document manually, or use the OCR feature to index an area of the image.

CaptureEasy comes with an OCR engine that will perform OCR in different languages. Currently, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese are supported. But it can be extended to other Asian Languages such as Japanese, Korean and European languages such as French, German, Dutch, etc. upon request.

Indexing by using the Drag’n Drop OCR feature
In order to fill in the document subject and profile information, user can type directly into the fields or use the Drag’n Drop OCR feature provided by captureEasy.

In this function, all you need to do is select the sentence on the image, drag the selected area to the indexing field, then the OCR will automatically performed and the selected sentences will appear in the dropped area.
